Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any Codinx service-including Codinx Accounts, Codinx Notes, and Codinx Labs-you agree to be bound by these unified Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing the platform. These terms govern all users, including students, educators, academic institutions, and independent developers.

2. Acceptable Use & Account Integrity

Codinx is built strictly for educational, research, and technical collaboration. You agree to adhere to the following rules:

• No Misuse: You will not use the platform for any unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or malicious activity.
• No Unauthorized Scraping: You will not deploy bots, headless scrapers, or automated crawlers to harvest student records, experiment write-ups, or notes at volume.
• No Impersonation: You will not impersonate any person, forge institutional email domains, or misrepresent student or educator credentials.
• System Security: You will not attempt to exploit APIs, reverse-engineer document parsers, bypass authentication layers, or overload infrastructure.

3. Academic Integrity & Content SharingCodinx Notes

Codinx Notes provides a collaborative academic repository for study guides, summaries, subject notes, and educational materials. By contributing content:

• Originality & Rights: You warrant that you own or have the explicit rights, licenses, and permissions to share the study material you upload.
• Prohibited Uploads: You agree not to upload copyrighted or confidential examination question papers, commercial paid course material, or protected institute assessments without authorization.
• Attribution & Watermarks: Uploaded study-note documents may carry a non-destructive visual repository watermark (such as a contributor and origin attribution line) to discourage commercial redistribution and unauthorized plagiarism.
• Content Conduct: You may not upload harmful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or unlawful material. Attempts to disrupt service operations, reverse-engineer proprietary APIs, exploit document parsers, or scrape user data at volume may result in suspension or termination across Codinx services.

4. Remote Code Execution & Sandbox GuidelinesCodinx Labs

Codinx Labs provides web-based code development and sandboxed code execution for programming laboratories:

• Resource Limits: Code executions are sandboxed and strictly constrained by execution timeouts (typically 30 seconds), compilation timeouts, output-size caps, and per-user rate limits. Isolated batch runtimes additionally enforce CPU time, memory, and process/thread ceilings.
• Prohibited Runtimes: You may not use compilers, workers, or terminals for cryptocurrency mining, denial-of-service (DoS) attempts, internal or external port scanning, network brute-forcing, unauthorized socket or network access, or security exploits.
• Automated Process Termination: Programs run under an unprivileged, isolated user context and are force-terminated when they exceed the execution timeout, output limits, or resource ceilings, attempt unauthorized socket connections, or when your session disconnects, with zero liability to Codinx.
• Ephemeral Storage: Execution workspaces and generated compilation scratch binaries are temporary and purged following session teardown.

5. Intellectual Property & Code OwnershipNotes & Labs

You retain complete ownership of all original source code, programming experiments, notes, and study summaries that you author on the platform:

• Your Content: Codinx claims no intellectual property ownership over user-submitted source code or original notes.
• Institutional Sharing: When you publish experiments or study materials to a public or institute class, authorized peers and instructors may review, execute, cite, or fork your work with proper system attribution.
• Platform Architecture: All automated write-up generation templates, PDF layout schemas, compiler orchestrators, and AI assistance prompts remain the exclusive intellectual property of Codinx and Nathan Francisco Lobo.

6. Account Responsibility & Verified Badging

Your central Codinx account credentials grant access across all Codinx domains (accounts.codinx.app, notes.codinx.app, and labs.codinx.app). You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your session tokens and credentials. Verified student status is awarded based on institutional domain verification or academic registration and is non-transferable.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

All Codinx services are provided strictly "as-is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Codinx does not warrant that code execution will always be uninterrupted, that compiler versions match all syllabus variants, or that community-contributed study notes are 100% free of academic inaccuracies. Students must exercise sound academic judgment before submitting coursework.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Codinx and its founder, Nathan Francisco Lobo, shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from platform use-including but not limited to academic marks, examination results, computational data loss, or server downtime.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms, along with any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. The parties hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in the region of the founder's primary base of operations.

10. Suspension & Termination

Codinx reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate account access across any or all ecosystem services immediately and without prior notice in the event of any material breach of these Terms, particularly Sections 2, 3, or 4.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to revise these Terms of Service periodically. Changes take effect upon posting to this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued access or use of Codinx constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
